An Idol Replaces a Star
NASHVILLE, TN: American Idol finalist Bucky Covington has been added to the GAC Country Music Christmas Tour line-up, taking the place of Nashville Star Winner Buddy Jewell. With much regret Buddy Jewell has been forced to cancel his participation in the GAC Country Music Christmas Tour due to a fall from a ladder requiring wrist surgery. Covington will join four of country music’s all-stars, including Deana Carter, Julie Roberts, Blue County, and Steve Azar, as they sing in the holiday spirit with Christmas classics and their well-known hits.
“I am thrilled to be performing with such great country artists but the best part about the tour is being able to perform in the different cities and seeing the all of the excited fans,” stated Covington, after being added to the GAC Country Music Christmas Tour line-up.
American Idol Season 5 finalist, Covington started singing at the age of 18 and over the years has been a part of several bands, both country and rock, with his twin brother Rocky. Known for his long blonde hair, southern accent and down-home charm, Covington was represented on American Idol as part of the American country music genre. With his amazing vocals and great stage presence Covington made it all the way into the American Idol Top Ten and is a welcome addition to the GAC Country Music Christmas Tour.
